==== Fire Weather, 8th - 12th ====
A run of hot weather is forecast from Thursday until Monday, with temperatures topping 43. The fire danger rating for Swan Inland North is forecast to be Extreme for Friday through to Monday.

As has been recently experienced, heatwaves can not only produce challenging fire behaviour, but produce difficult and dangerous fire fighting conditions.

Please ensure that your availability in BART is up to date. In the event of a call-out, please ensure that all crew members remain hydrated and appropriate care is taken to manage fatigue and heat exposure.

=== Mundaring Fire School and Training ===

The Sawyers Valley 2024 Training Calendar is [[http://wiki.sawyersvalley.bfb.asn.au/_media/newsletters:2024_brigade_training_calendar_1.0.pdf|attached]]. As per previous years, major topics are repeated across the course of a month, which should allow all members to attend at least one session.

Topics also align with the courses presented at the Mundaring Fire School, allowing members to receive an introduction to a topic during Saturday morning training and then attend the full course the following weekend.
