====== Weekly Newsletter - 13th March 2024 ====== [[newsletters:20240313|Online copy]] ===== Operations ===== ==== Roster ==== === Starting Saturday === Date: 16th March - 22nd March * First Call: **Crew C** * Second Call: Crew B ==== Incidents ==== None ==== 1.4 Vehicle Battery Replacement ==== Last Saturday one the starter batteries on the 1.4 experienced a RUD. Subsequent investigation identified an issue with a battery terminal contacting the steel housing, causing a short circuit. The Shire of Mundaring workshops have replaced the batteries with "low maintenance" models, which should not require regular checking. This should alleviate the potential for future short circuits. As such this item has been removed from the weekly checklist for the 1.4. The battery compartment should not be accessed unless necessary.
