30th August - Car Fire

Attended by Andrew H, Andrew M, Andy and Elton. Initial difficulty in locating the fire, due to ComCen not having a street name for Tank Hill Rd. In future, turn-outs to Stephenson St should send one vehicle to that location, and the other all the way along Tank Hill Rd.

Many thanks to those members who attended, including Warren. who assisted from the station.

Potential Hazard Reduction Burn

If weather conditions continue as predicted, we should have good conditions for conducting a burn on Saturday. Ideally we will start around 11:00 and run through until mid to late afternoon.

Interested members should contact Adrian or John.

Emergency Management Volunteer Scholarships - Round 2

Applications are now open for the second round of Emergency Management Volunteer Scholarships.

The Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience (AIDR) is administering a new $1 million Australian Government scholarship fund to boost education development opportunities for emergency management volunteers.

This is an excellent opportunity for emergency services volunteers to build on their knowledge and professionalism. More information is available through the Volunteer Portal.

The Brigade is running a Swap Meet on Sunday the 15th of October. Assistance is required to run this event, and volunteers should contact Michelle with their availability.
