The latest Mundaring Fire School calendar is attached.
Of particular note is the Initial Control at Wildfires course, scheduled for the 17th of November. This is an excellent course, and highly recommended for any members interested in progressing through to Crew Leader and beyond.
Parkerville Brigade are hosting the Red Cross which will be presenting an information session on Emergency Preparedness, on Tuesday the 30th of October at the Mundaring Christian College, Parkerville Campus. Register your interest by calling 0225 1929 or emailing wapreparedness@redcross.org.au.

The State Government is undertaking a major review of the Local Government Act, aimed at strengthening the capacity of local governments in Western Australia to deliver for their community. The stated vision is for local government to be agile, smart, and inclusive.
Recently released discussion papers address community engagement, increasing participation and public confidence in local government elections, and the ways local government raise revenue, including rates. As part of the review the government want to hear from local governments and the community.
The public submission period is now open and closes on 31 March 2019.
A community forum is currently organised for the Mundaring Community on Tuesday, 4th December 2018 at 6pm – 8pm at the Shire of Mundaring Administration Building (Civic Reception Room). More details available on the attached flyer.
