Called to report of an unknown fire, Old Sawyers Road in Sawyers Valley. Attended with Mt Helena BFB, and Mundaring VFRS. Fire was a legal solid-fuel heater, and no action was taken.

Attended by Adrian, Ben M., Chad, Michelle, Murray, and Nick O., with station assistance from Rob and Warren.

Turned out to care fire on Great Eastern Highway, near Stonehouse Loop. Arrived to find a fully involved car on the side of the highway, which had spread into the bush. Assisted by Mt Helena BFB and Mundaring VFRS.

Attended by Colin, Danika, Dave W., Keith, Nick O., and Warren.

Safari Rally Support, 16th March Sawyers Valley will be providing bushfire support for the Safari Rally on Saturday the 16th of March. Both appliances will be attending; the 1.4 in the morning and the Light Tanker in the afternoon.

he latest Mundaring Fire School calendar is attached.

Sawyers Valley are teaming up with Darling Range, Mt Helena, Stoneveille, and Parkerville brigades to run an information stand at the the Blue Sky Festival. The festival will be held in Mundaring, on the 17th of March, and covers a range of environmental and sustainability issues in the Mundaring Hills.

Volunteers are requested to help with the information stand; talking to the general public about bushfire safety, prescribed burning and, most importantly, joining their local volunteer bushfire brigade. If you are interested in assisting with this event please contact Adrian or Michelle.
