Scrub Fire, Gorrie Rd - 29th March

Called to assist Chidlow and Wooroloo at a scrub fire near Gorrie Rd at The Lakes. Fire was quickly contained with the assistance of a PaWS Pozitrack.

Attended by Dave We., Elton, Rob, and Warren.

COVID-19 Update

Attached is a communiqué from the FES Commissioner, Darren Klemm AFSM.

Additionally, the Chief Fire Control Officer for the Shire of Mundaring has reiterated the current strategies being pursued by the Brigades in the Shire (attached).

For our Brigade, the following changes to incident response will be made:

[1] Please ensure that you arrange someone to cover for you if you are not available for your roster period. [2] Cloth towels should be soaked in warm soapy water for 30 minutes after use. This can be completed during the Saturday morning sched.

Mundaring Fire School

Due to the restrictions imposed as part of the COVID-19 response, no training will be conducted at the Station, Fire School, or by DFES. The Brigade is investigating the possibility of conducting training sessions via video conferencing, with details to follow in coming weeks.
