Called to assist Mundaring VFRS at a scrub fire on Atkins Rd. 10ha burnt in previously burnt area, with control eventually handed to DBCA.

Received request for crews to join Strike Team attending the King Rd incident in Oakford. Crew met Strike Team at Swan Emergency Services Centre before deploying to King Road. Following a delay the crew eventually completed a shift mopping up and patrolling the incident.

We want to take a quick moment to show our appreciation and thank all the firefighters and volunteers who help keep our community safe. Just over a week into the new year and the shire has seen a couple of big bushfires. Crews have done an incredible job at keeping homes, friends, family and livestock safe. So we just want to say THANK YOU. Not missing a beat and putting themselves in dangerous situations proves they are true local heroes. Want to show your appreciation? The 2021 Calendar for the Mundaring Fire Fighters School is attached. Please take some time to review the courses offered and consider which may be undertaken this coming year.
Additionally, dates for the Incident Management Group training sessions are included in the calendar. Anyone interested in starting out in Incident Management should consider participating in the IMG training sessions.
