A number of burns are planned for the coming week.
Preference will be given the Brigade organised burn (including any others that are proposed in the interim). Naturally all burns will be subject to weather conditions.

The recently opened Bushfire Centre of Excellence is holding a community open day on Saturday 30th October.
Chidlow Brigade is organising a bus to take members from Chidlow and the Mundaring Firefighting School to the open day. An invitation is extended to our members as there are currently a few spare seats on the bus.
The intended program is to depart Mundaring around 08:30 and return later in the afternoon. The Bushfire Centre of Excellence is located in Nambeelup.

The latest training calendar fro the Mundaring Fire School is attached.
The last course for the year will be Initial Control at Wildfires. This course was developed by the Fire School specifically for Mundaring brigades, and aims to crews who are first arriving at an incident to put in place the correct management structures before the incident escalates further. It is a recommended course for Senior Fire Fighters / Crew Leaders, and Lieutenants. The course will be held on the 20th of November. The monthly General Brigade Meeting will be held on Monday the 25th of October, starting 19:30 at the Station.
