Received request for Light Tanker to assist at a 3rd Alarm bushfire near Fernie Rd in Wundowie. Rapid escalation of resources allowed the fire to be quickly controlled, with no losses.

Turned out to a grass fire on Weeribee Rd, Wooroloo. Once again, rapid escalation ensured the fire was quickly controlled. Patrols were continued into the evening, and following days.

Attached is the updated Directions for COVID-19 vaccination requirements. The relevant part is that anyone currently eligible for a 3rd (booster) vaccination must provide evidence of their vaccination status (Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation History Statement) to the Shire by the before the 5th of February 2022. Those not currently eligible are required to provide evidence of their booster vaccination within one calendar month of becoming eligible.
Currently members who have received their first two vaccination doses will be eligible for their booster 4 months after their second dose.
As with the original direction from the Chief Health Officer, anyone who has not received their booster vaccination, and provided evidence to the Shire, will not be permitted to attend the station, use the appliances, or attend incidents.
To date the Brigade has 13 members who have received all three vaccination doses.

The 2022 calendar for the Mundaring Fire School is attached. Please take the time to review the available courses and consider any which are applicable or of interest. Special consideration should be given to those courses which form part of the Brigade's Training and Development Plan.
Players and spectators are asked to meet at the station at 0930 hours for the much anticipated cricket match, with team selections to take place between 0930 and 1000 hours. The game play will be decided on the day, and will be based on how many people turn up. It is anticipated that the match will conclude around midday.

Please refer to the attached invitation for this rescheduled event. Members are asked to assemble at the station promptly at 1730 hours for the photo session – dress standard for photos is PPE for fire fighters and brigade shirts and pants for station crew.
