Escaped Burn, 7th June

Called to assist Chidlow at an escaped burn on Great Southern Highway. 1.4 was stood down shortly after turning out, and the Light Tanker was released after an hour.

Pole Fire, 8th June

Turned out to a pole fire on Great Eastern Highway in Sawyers Valley. Crews partially closed Great Easter Highway with the assistance of WA Police. Western Power isolate the power and the pole was extinguished by the rain.

Mundaring Fire School

The latest training calendar from the Mundaring Fire School is attached.

Administration

Life Member

Adrian joined the Brigade in 2004. Currently serving as Brigade Captain, Adrian has previously served as Secretary, Training Officer and Lieutenant, and has attended numerous fires within the Shire of Mundaring and beyond. At the May AGM Adrian was unanimously elected as a Life Member of the Brigade - congratulations Adrian.

Bendigo Community Raffle

Thursday Work Group

The TWG recommences on June 9th. If you are handy and can spare a couple of hours to help with equipment or station maintenance we would appreciate your assistance. Morning, afternoon teas and lunch are provided and we generally start off at around 1000 hours. Please contact Vicki on 0407 831 315 or secretary@sawyersvalley.bfb.asn.au for more information.

Mundaring Fire School – Potential Grant Recipient

The MFS has been shortlisted for a P&N grant up to $2000 and if successful, intends to use the grant to purchase equipment required to practice burnover drills. P&N customers can vote to select the successful nominees. It would be appreciated, that if any of our members are P&N bank customers, or know someone who is, to consider voting for the Mundaring Fire School. If requested to supply a mobile number Rod Teale, the MFS Secretary has advised that we can use his mobile 0439 578 443.
