Nominations Open for 2024 WAFES Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2024 WAFES Awards. Categories include:

It would be great to see someone from within the Shire of Mundaring nominated for one or more of these awards this year, so please give some consideration to anyone you from across the Shire who you think is worthy.

Nominations close on Monday the 25th of March, with the awards present at the WAFES Conference Gala Dinner.

Annual Volunteer BFB BBQ

The Shire of Mundaring have advised that this year’s function will be held at the Mundaring Pavilion Oval on Saturday, 13 April 2024 from 18:00 until 21:00. An official invitation with all relevant information will follow in coming weeks.

Disaster-our Dinners Project

The Shire of Mundaring, in association with the Australian Red Cross, is offering to host catered dinners for local street groups to help develop and strengthen street level emergency preparedness. The events are free, but limited to 12 dinners across the Shire. A number of these have already been taken up, so if you are interested in hosting a dinner in your street you will need to act quickly. Contact Karen Dore to express your interest.
