As we head into the high threat period it is important to ensure that your equipment and PPE is maintained and serviceable. Keith has asked that any one needing replacement equipment should contact (Equipment@SawyersValley.bfb.asn.au) him soon, to ensure that any orders can be fulfilled before the start of the season and the Christmas rush.
In particular, please remember to replace the batteries in your helmet torches, whether they have been used or not. Leaking batteries can damage the head torches, which are a much more expensive item than a set of AA batteries.
The Mundaring Fire Fighter School has published its training calendar for 2025. Please review the calendar and pick out any courses that are of interest. It is recommended that all operational members undertake at least one training course per year.
Planning is under way for this year's Father Christmas run. Anyone interested in participating should contact Matt.
