=== Western Australian Fire Fighters Deploying to Canada ===
Fire fighters from DFES, both career and volunteer, as well as DCBA PaWS have left on a two month deployment to Canada, assisting with the Canadian fire season.

We wish them all the best of luck in this endeavour.

=== DFES COVID-19 Vaccination Survey ===
DFES is undertaking enhanced preparation activities to ensure we maintain emergency services delivery. DFES is working to establish the uptake and current status of COVID-19 vaccination of all staff and emergency services volunteers.

The survey is optional and the results will help inform our capacity to maintain service delivery in the event of a further outbreak of COVID-19 in the community. It will also help identify how we can work with WA Health to provide more access to vaccines no matter where you are.

=== AIIMS 2017 Course ===
Congratulations to Ben M., Dave R., and Michelle for completing the AIIMS 2017 training course last weekend. This two day course provides an introduction to incident management, and an important grounding for those interested in training for more senior fire ground roles such as Sector Commander, Ground Controller, and Incident Controller.

These courses are run frequently by DFES and can be found in eAcademy. Members who are Crew Leaders or aspiring Lieutenants should seek to undertake this course.

==== Bush Fire Brigades Local Law Review ====
Council resolved during its meeting on the 13th of July to undertake a periodic review of the Bush Fire Brigades Local Law. Submissions regarding the review may be made by email to [[shire@mundaring.wa.gov.au]] or posted to:
