After an extended period away, including secondments and holidays, Jamie is back in the hot-seat as CESM and Chief Bush Fire Control Officer. We welcome Jamie back to the role, and thank Tom for his work in Jamie's absence.

==== Federal Emergency for Emergency Management visit to Mundaring, 28th August ====
On Monday this week the Federal Minister for Emergency Management, Senator Murray Watt, visited the Mundaring Emergency Services Centre. There, alongside the Federal Member for Hasluck Tania Lawrence, he met with members of volunteer emergency services from across Mundaring and Swan. The Minister spoke about the need for greater levels of cooperation and coordination between all levels of government with respect to emergency preparation, management, and recovery.

==== Bushfire Ready Stall, Rotary Mundaring Sunday Markets, 10th September ====
The Shire are coordinating a Bushfire Ready stall at the Rotary Mundaring Sunday Markets on the 10th of September. All brigades in the Shire are being encouraged to participate in this excellent opportunity for community engagement. The stall will be operating between 08:00 and 15:00.

This opportunity aligns with the discussion on recruitment and community engagement at the brigade meeting last month. All brigade members are strongly encouraged to donate half an our of their Sunday to this important initiative. If you are interested please contact [[Captain@SawyersValley.bfb.asn.au|Adrian]].
