Incidents
Bushfire, Great Eastern Highway, Wooroloo, Monday 9th
Turned out to report of a bushfire started by a traffic accident, near Wooroloo Prison in Wooroloo. With mild weather conditions the fire only burnt 0.4ha, but did manage to reach the top of a large tree which presented an issue for mop-up. The stag was ultimately extinguished with the assistance of Fremantle CLP.

BART vs SMS
As noted in the Tuesday 10th email (BART Issues and SMS Turn-out), SMS remains our primary call-out method, with BART providing auxiliary services (such as indicating response to a call-out). Please ensure that the DFES Call-out numbers are given a dedicated SMS tone and the ability to by-pass silent/do-not-disturb on your phone.
Christmas Period Roster
To ensure the Brigade maintains its operational capability throughout the holiday period, without overly burdening individual members, a roster shall be drawn up for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. If you will be unavailable for any of these days, please let Adrian or Dave Wh. know so this can be factored into the roster. Where possible individual members shall be on roster for only one of these four days.
It is also a good time to remind members that alcohol should be avoided when on roster. Whilst volunteers are allowed up to 0.05% BAL, it is requested that members abstain from drinking when on roster or prior to turning out to an incident.

Christmas Party - Monday, 30th December
Please find attached an invitation to attend this year's Christmas Function, which will be held at the Station on Monday 30th December. The Brigade will provide all meats and refreshments, with members asked to provide either a salad or dessert. If anyone has any dietary requirements i.e. vegetarian, gluten intolerant etc. can you please let Vicki know when RSVPing.
