Weekly Newsletter - 30th August 2017
This week's newsletter has come sooner than expected, as we've decided to now publish on Wednesdays to give everyone a little more notification for up coming events such as Saturday training.

Announcements
A draft Training Calendar has been prepared, which lays out the training sessions proposed for the remained of the year. It is hoped that this will allow our members to know well in advance what training is coming up and decide which sessions they attend. Most sessions on the calendar are repeated over two weeks; this will hopefully give everyone an opportunity to attend each session, while also allowing some time off.

Brigade Purchasing
At the Brigade meeting last night Jen spoke about restricting the purchasing of consumables i.e. kitchen, bathroom and first aid supplies, stationery, batteries etc. to only a couple of members. To facilitate this, can you please make a note on the kitchen whiteboard or email Jen treasurer@sawyersvalley.bfb.asn.au of any items that are required. The requirement for hand towels is noted, and thanks to whoever wrote it on the whiteboard.
It was also agreed that the Brigade would look into obtaining, through the Bendigo Bank, a credit card with a maximum limit of $500. This will be used to purchase more expensive items that have previously been approved at a meeting, and will hopefully avoid members having to pay for the items themselves and wait for reimbursement from the Brigade.
