Training
As mentioned in the February Captain's Report, a training calendar has been drawn up which lists the training topics for the coming year. Training topics are repeated across a month, with the intention that a rostered crew attend the Saturday morning sched, complete the vehicle checks and undertake the training topic for the month. A whole-of-brigade roster will be developed in the near future which will allocate all brigade members to a team for the purposes of Saturday sched and training. This roster, coupled with the Training Calendar, will hopefully make attending the required training sessions less onerous as members will only need to attend one training session per month.

Draft By-Laws and Rules
The Constitution Sub-Committee have released the draft association By-Laws and Rules. Please take the time to review these important documents and offer your feed-back. A separate announcement regarding this will be sent, which will include links to the draft documents.
Blue Sky Festival - 17th March
Sawyers Valley have been invited to participate in the Blue Sky Festival in Mundaring, to be held on the 17th of March. The festival covers a range of environmental and sustainability issues in the Mundaring Hills, and will involve displays, interactive workshops, demonstrations, and talks by different groups and individuals.
To ensure a large presence at the festival, Sawyers has arranged with Stoneville and Mt Helena brigades to set up a joint stand,promoting our brigades' activities and bush fire safety.
