Sighting the prevailing Ground Moisture (KBDI of 196, SDI of 200), the Chief Bush Fire Control Officer has elected to extend the Prohibited Burning Period until the 28th of April.
Should significant rains arrive during this time, the extension will be reviewed and potentially revoked.
This prohibition extends also to brigade burns.

Administration
Adoption of Model Rules
At the Shire of Mundaring Council meeting held on the 9th of April, Councillors voted unanimously to approve the proposed changes to the constitution of Sawyers Valley Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Incorporated. These changes replace the old association constitution with the Model Rules as provided in the Associations Incorporation Act 2015.
The Brigade once again extends its gratitude to the members of the Constitution Committee for their work on preparing the Association By-Laws and enabling the adoption of the Model Rules. Additionally the Brigade thanks Adrian Dyson, Manger of Community Safety and Emergency Management for the Shire of Mundaring, for his work in preparing the report for Council.
It is now believed that the Brigade will be able to conduct the coming AGM using the Model Rules and Brigade By-Laws.
