Incidents

House Fire, 29th April

Called out to a structure fire, reported as a “glow in the roof space”. Arrived to find roof of two story house full involved. Provided support to Mt Helena BFB and Mundaring VFRS who controlled the fire and contained it to the upstairs area. Assisted by Parkerville BFB, Kalamunda VFRS, and Midland FRS. Also attended by CESM Swan, DO Darling Range, and the SET.

Attended by Adrian, Ben M, Ben R, Dave R, Dave S, Graeme, and Rob.

General Meeting, 29th April

Due to a number of our members attending the Helena Tce house fire, the meeting scheduled for the 29th of April was abandoned. The Committee of Management will meet Thursday the 2nd of May to address any pressing matters, and all other matters will be held over until the June meeting.

Annual Street Appeal, 17th May

The Annual Volunteer Bushfire Brigade Street Appeal is on Friday the 17th of May. This has been a fantastic fund-raising activity for the brigade, and a great way of meeting volunteers from other brigades across the Bush Fire Service. Organisers will be signing up attendees on the day, however an indication of numbers will assist with logistics and planning.

The appeal will run from 07:00 until 18:00, and is centred around the Hay Street and Murray Street Malls.

The more members we have attending the street appeal, the greater our share of the takings will be. Interested members should RSVP to Michelle.
