Restricted Burning Period - 1st October

The Shire of Mundaring have announced that the Restricted Burning Period will commence on Tuesday the 1st of October. Permits to burn will be required from this date until the 30th of November.

No updates.

The latest Mundaring Fire School calendar is attached.

Members who recently attended the Crew Leader training course are encouraged to sign up for the Mundaring Practical Crew Leader course on the 12th of October*. Members looking for a further challenge should also consider the Sector Commander course on the 9th and 10th of November, with the assessment on the 17th of November.

*This date clashes with the proposed date for the Annual Lunch, however alternatives are being investigated.

Whilst the Annual Dinner/Lunch had been set for the 12th of October, it has become evident that a number of events clash with this date. These include the Practical Crew Leader training course, Captain's Briefing, and Shire Captain's Dinner. The Committee of Management are investigating alternative dates for the lunch and this will be communicated as soon as possible.

Once again the State Government have provided Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades with fuel card for use by members. This card can be used by Brigade members to refuel their personal vehicles, and is a way for the government to show its appreciation for the hard work which volunteers contribute to the community.

The card can be found on the sign-in desk at the station. Please ensure that everyone is given an opportunity to receive some value from this initiative.
