Danika and Dave S. joined the North Metro Strike Team on a 5 day deployment to Katanning. The Strike Team relieved local crews which had been fighting the fire since the previous Thursday.

Thanks to Danika and Dave S. for giving up their time, and to their families for making do without them for an extended period.

The next Ops Command meeting will be held on the 20th of February. These meetings bring together all of the brigade Captains, Shire Deputies, and Shire Chief to discuss operation matters.

The Annual Shire Family Event for Emergency Service Volunteers will be held on the 14th of March from 17:00 at the Mundaring Recreation Centre. All Brigade members and their families are invited to this free event. Catering is provided, with free drinks available. The evening will include a tug-of-war between brigades and a bouncy castle for the kids. A number of Life Membership awards will also be presented by the Shire.
