2020/2021 Skills Refresher

That time of year again folks; the Annual SKills Refresher has been released, and it is incumbent on all active members to ensure that they have demonstrated all of the requirements prior to the start of the next fire season. This will soon form the main focus of training, although many of the required skills may be demonstrated during other activities such as burns or incidents.

The updated Skills Refresh sheet is attached. If you have any questions please contact Rob or Adrian.

2020 AGM - 27th July

The 2020 AGM has now be officially called by the Brigade Chairperson, and will be held on Monday the 27th of July, at the station[1].

The following positions are open for nominations:

  • Chairperson;
  • Secretary;
  • Treasurer;
  • Committee of Management Members (x4)[2];
  • Captain;
  • First Lieutenant;
  • Training Manager;
  • Equipment Manager.

Please give your careful consideration to nominating for these important positions. A nomination form is attached.

Further details on the nomination and election process can be found in the Brigade Rules of Association, and the Brigade By-Laws.

In addition to the election office bearers, the annual award recipients will be announced. Awards for consideration are:

  • Keith Woodley Trophy for Outstanding Service;
  • Les Ryan Trophy for Best New Member[3];
  • Equipment Manager's Award[4]

The nomination form for the Keith Woodley Trophy for Outstanding Service is attached. Completed nominations can be placed in the ballot box, located in the station next to the attendance register.

[1]subject to expected numbers - if social distancing requirements cannot be facilitated at the station and alternative venue will be arranged.

[2]must not hold any other office within the Brigade.

[3]awarded by the Captain and First Lieutenant.

[4]awarded by the Equipment Manager.

Weekly Calendar

  • Saturday 20th - Sched, training, and BBQ Breakfast. To be attended by members of Team 2. Training will cover the Skills Refresher.
