Warren has organised a small hazard reduction burn for the afternoon of Saturday the 4th of July. He requires two or three people to assist, starting from around 13:00. A further group of two or three people could be used to tackle a second part of the burn if conditions are favourable. If you are available to assist, please contact Warren.

The Shire of Mundaring have organised new First Aid Kits for the appliances. These come fitted with a security seal, which will make weekly checks more steam-lined. The kits will be replaced every six months, and replacement consumables are available as part of the service. It is requested that the bags are not to be written on or marked, as they will be re-used at the end of the kit's service life.

The latest training calendar from the Mundaring Fire School is attached.

Members are reminded that training courses may be difficult to access this year, and every opportunity should be taken to attend relevant training. In particular the MFS Initial Control at Wildfire (ICAW) course is an excellent resource which all current and aspiring Crew Leaders should attend. This is being run on the 18th of July, and 21st of November. Get in early to avoid disappointment!

For the benefit of our new members; during the cooler months Brigade members who are able to, gather at the Station every Thursday from 1000 hours to carry out a range of maintenance and installation works on the Station building and equipment. We are a bit behind this year, however with the relaxing of the COVID-19 restrictions, the Work Group will recommence as of next Thursday 9th of July. There are a variety of jobs including security camera installation, painting both internal and external, hanging doors, laying carpet tiles, general cleaning etc. If you can spare a couple of hours on a Thursday, please feel free to come down. Morning, afternoon teas, lunch and good company are provided. For further details please call Vicki on 0407831315.
