Verge Fire, 23rd February

Turned out to report of a fire along Great Eastern Highway. Located a small verge fire, out on arrival.

Attended by Denise, Graeme, Keith, Michelle, Nick T., Sarah, Shane, and Warren.

Following the excellent Wednesday night debrief session for the Wooroloo incident, a Lessons Learned review will be conducted on Saturday the 27th. The main focus of the review will be centred around the Brigade's response and aims to capture both positive outcomes, and areas for improvement. Observations and recommendations for the wider incident will also be collated, to be submitted to the Shire's Post Incident Analysis at BFAC on Tuesday.

Once again the Brigade will be participating in the Bendigo Bank Community Raffle. This year the Brigade has 15 raffle books to sell, with ticket sales closing on the 24th of May. The raffle will be draw on the 4th of June.

  • 1st prize: $20,000
  • 2nd - 6th prize: $1,000 Bendigo Bank savings accounts

Raffle books can be collected from Vicki.

The WA State Election (13th March) and Station Open Day (revised date 27th March), both promise to be excellent opportunities the raise the profile of our Brigade and promote volunteering. Assistance will be required for both these events, including the preparation of promotional material, organising activities, and attending the polling station.
