Post-Lockdown Transition

Following the end of the lockdown on Tuesday morning, the Chief has requested a number of additional restrictions during the post-lockdown transition. These restrictions are:

  • Brigade Members should not attend their brigade, unless it is to respond to an incident or essential purposes/maintenance or as approved by Captain;
  • Anyone attending the station must wear a mask, comply good hygiene procedures and comply to 4sqm rule;
  • From the outset of an incident the OIC must insist crews wear face mask, practice Social Distancing and good hygiene procedures, have this at the forefront of your mind and include it with all briefings especially reinforce as crews arrive;
  • Members considered high risk and/or with existing health concerns must limit their contact with others as much as possible as they are at greater risk of more serious illness;

These restrictions shall be lifted at 12:01 on Saturday the 1st of May.

Mundaring Fire School

The latest Mundaring Fire School training calendar is attached.

The Work Group will recommence on Thursday, 6th May 2021 from 1000 hours onwards. This group meets weekly during the cooler months to carry out minor works, cleaning and repairs to the station and equipment. If you are handy (or not) and can spare a couple of hours, please come down and join us – sausage sizzle, stimulating conversation and good company guaranteed. A reminder, that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the Station on Monday 31st May, 2021 and will commence at 1930 hours. Preceding the AGM will be a very short General Meeting which will commence at 1900 hours. At the conclusion of the AGM a light supper and refreshments will be provided.

If members are unable to attend the meeting, there are alternative options available i.e. tele-conferencing or proxy voting.

Nominations are now open for the following positions:

  • Chairperson
  • Captain/Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Committee of Management (4 positions)
  • First Lieutenant
  • Brigade Training Manager
  • Equipment Manager

A nomination form is attached, with additional forms available either through the Secretary or at the Station. Please note that Office Bearer nominations need to be emailed to the Secretary by Sunday, 2nd May 2021.

Nominations for the “Outstanding Services Award” are also open, with a nomination form attached (page 2). If you would like to nominate a member who you feel has given outstanding service to the Brigade, please nominate using the form attached and place your nomination on the ballot box at the Station. There are also additional forms available alongside the ballot box. Nominations for this award close Saturday 29th May 2021.

All relevant documents including minutes, agenda and proxy forms will be emailed to the membership closer to the meeting date.

Many thanks to those members who have taken raffle books. Of the 15 books allocated to the Brigade, 10 have been distributed to members with 5 books remaining. If anyone would like to take a book to sell, please contact Vicki on 0407 831 315 – all proceeds from the ticket sales will be forwarded to participating groups at the completion of the raffle, which equates to $750 if we sell all 15 books.

All raffle books and money need to be returned to Vicki by 24/5/2021.
