Skills Refresher

The annual Skills Refresher has been released ahead of the 2021/2022 season. All active members are required to demonstrate each skill on the refresher prior to the 1st of November 2021. The demonstration of skills included in the refresher will be incorporated into training sessions over the coming months.

A copy of the Skills Refresher is attached. If you have any questions, please contact Adrian.

In-vehicle Mapping Suggestions

The Shire of Mundaring is investigating options for the provision of in-vehicle mapping for fire appliances. This could include the supply and installation of a phone a tablet, most likely with an Avenza Maps license. Alternative suggestions include the installation of Cel-Fi signal boosters, and WiFi hot-spots to allow crews to utilise personal devices.

If you have any suggestions or comments on these proposals, please contact Adrian.

Sometime ago a number of items were identified as surplus to requirements and the decision was made to have a silent auction. The attached form lists all available items, photos, quantities and detailed instructions, with additional forms available at the Station. Please submit your completed bids in the ‘Bid Box’ located at the Station by no later than 1800 hours on Friday 25/6/2021. Successful bidders will be notified on Monday 28/6/2021.

We have received $9,141.10, which is our share of the funds raised at the Parky Big Relief Fundraiser held back in March of this year. This item is on the June agenda for discussion however, members are asked to give some thought into how to use these funds. Some suggestions so far include donating all or part of the funds to those directly impacted by the Wooroloo fires; installing a water tank at the Station; developing an outdoor area at the back of the Station and a birthday bash to celebrate the Brigade turning 60 this year.

  • Saturday: Training - Initial Control at Wildfires (practical), 09:30 at the Station
  • Monday: Monthly General Meeting, 19:30 at the Station
