Bushfire Centre of Excellence Visit
The recently opened Bushfire Centre of Excellence is holding a community open day on Saturday 30th October.
Chidlow Brigade is organising a bus to take members from Chidlow and the Mundaring Firefighting School to the open day. An invitation is extended to our members as there are currently a few spare seats on the bus.
The intended program is to depart Mundaring around 08:30 and return later in the afternoon. The Bushfire Centre of Excellence is located in Nambeelup.

Regional Deployment Registry
DFES have made a call for Expressions of Interest for the Regional Deployment Registry. The registry runs from the 31st of October 2021 until the 31st of October 2022 and is used for sourcing resources for interstate and international deployments. Members are able to nominate their availability for firefighting, Incident Management Team, and support roles. The application for the registry can be located in the Volunteer Hub.

Administration
Volunteer Fuel Card
As part of its commitment to supporting emergency service volunteers, the State Government have again issued $1000 fuel cards to Brigades and Units across the state. These fuel cards may be used by volunteers to recoup some of the expense incurred through their volunteering activities.
The Brigade's card will be available at the station from Saturday. Members purchasing fuel with the card are required to record the purchase on the provided record sheet.
