Mundaring Fire School
The latest training calendar from the Mundaring Fire School is attached.
High Threat Period Persisting
Despite nearing the end of March and cooling weather patters, conditions for bushfire remain stubbornly present. The Soil Dryness Index for Bickley and surrounding areas is approaching 200, which is significantly drier than the previous five years.
The risk of bushfire will remain present until we receive some significant rain (possibly over this weekend). A decision on the ending or extending the Prohibited Season is expected on the 28th.
