PPE Check
Keith wishes to remind all active members to check their PPE and request any replacement equipment that may be required. Delivery of replacement equipment can take a while, so it is best to get this done now ahead of the fire season.
Weekly Checks
It has been noticed that lately the vehicle checks have been completed by the same regular members. Whilst it is good that the vehicles are still being regularly checks, it would be best if this responsibility were shared around all of the Brigade members. Not only does this spread the burden, but also provides all members a regular opportunity to use the equipment and maintain their familiarity with its operation.
Members are reminded that a minimum number of three vehicle checks must be completed within a six month period to maintain their active status - by no means an onerous number. If you have difficulty in attending the usual Tuesday night checks, contact your team leader or Adrian and organise a more convenient time.
Thank you to those members who have been regularly participating in the vehicle checks. Special mention to John R. who completed the checks by himself on Tuesday night this week.
