All members of Sawyers Valley brigade are encouraged to attend this session that will discuss mental health; relating to brigade duties and everyday life outside the brigade. The session will be presented by Lindsay Rudge. Lindsay is a highly qualified and experienced psychologist, a volunteer fire fighter and a hills resident whose home has been impacted by fire.

As fire fighters we respond to the call not knowing what we’ll experience or witness at fires. Nor do we know how these events will affect us and our families. Having a better understanding of how to identify emotional stress and what help is available, will be make us all better prepared for challenging situations.

Chidlow VBFB are running a RUI exercise this coming Saturday morning. The exercise will involve a 40 minute presentation, followed by a practical exercise at a local property.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Adrian.
