Shire Incidents: 7

Recently a number of incidents have occurred where local brigades have not had enough crew to be able to turn out. Whilst this in itself isn't a problem (life happens), it is important that a brigade's inability to respond is identified quickly in order for another brigade to be mobilised in a timely manner. Similarly, it is important subsequently mobilised brigades must also be able to identify their ability to turn out.

To assist with please ensure that your availability is kept current in BART, and that changes to your regular availability are communicated to Adrian and Dave.

Once again a fantastic effort from our operational members in completing the annual Skills Refresher ahead of the fire season. With only a couple of stragglers left (due to medical reasons), we have almost a 100% completion rate. Thank you to everyone for putting the effort in to completing this important part of our training, with special thanks to Shane for tracking everyone's progress and being the driving force behind completing the Skills Refresher this year.
