The Shire of Mundaring will be undertaking hazard reduction burning on Thursday the 12th and Friday the 13th. The burn will cover 24ha and forms part of the overall bushfire risk management strategy for the Lake.

Sawyers will be contributing crews to both days, with the burn expected to run between 09:00 and 16:00. If you are interested in attending please contact Adrian.

Stoneville VBFB will be conducting the inaugural Back Roads Tour on Saturday the 5th of October. The aim of the Back Roads Tour is to increase local Stoneville knowledge for other Brigades. To do this, all attending appliances will travel in convoy around Stoneville, using the many Fire-Access and Cut-Thru Tracks. The route is expected to take 90-120 minutes, and conclude with a BBQ at Stoneville Station.

If you are interested in attending this event please contact Adrian. To date only two members from our Brigade have expressed interest in attending this new and innovative initiative.
