Pole Fire, Railway Tce, Sat 26th

Turned out to report of a pole fire on Railway Tce. The fire was extinguished by neighbours prior to crews arriving. The cause was a magpie shorting a conductor on the pole.

Burn Re-ignition, Railway Rce, Wed 30th

Called to report of smoke from with a previous prescribed burn area. A small area was extinguished.

As part of the Brigade's ongoing recruitment drive, it has been suggested that an “elevator” pitch is developed. This would be a short spiel which can quickly the reasons and benefits for join a bushfire brigade. In order to help develop this pitch, brigade members are asked to submit their ideas.
