Tree Fire, Great Southern Highway, Tues 25th

Turned out to report of trees on fire, near Horton Rd at The Lakes. Chidlow arrived first to find a single tree on fire.

Attended by: John R., Matt, and Warren.

The Restricted Burning Period will commence on Tuesday the 1st of April. With the KBDI still close to 190, no permits will not be issued until we have received significant rain.

Residents will be allowed to burn a 1×1 metre pile between 18:00 and 00:00, on days of Moderate/Un-rated Fire Danger Rating.

Jamie is taking a couple of weeks leave, ahead of taking an acting role as DO North East for Murray until the end of May. Tom will be acting as CESM Mundaring from the 7th of April.

We wish both Jamie and Murray a relaxing break.

The Shire of Mundaring's Bush Fire Server Long Service and Outstanding Service Awards Policy is up for review, and the Shire is seeking any feedback form brigades and individuals. Attached is the current policy.

This will be one of the items of discussion at Monday's Brigade meeting.

The annual Shire of Mundaring Emergency Services Family BBQ will be held on Saturday the 26th of April, at the Mundaring Pavillion Oval. This event includes a free dinner and drinks, a DJ, bouncy castle, face-painting, and the inter-brigade Tug-O-War.
