Thursday 24th April, Rubbish Fire, Pearce St, Sawyers Valley
Called to report of illegal burn on Pearce St in Sawyers Valley. Resident had set fire to a grass tree.
Attended by: Dave R. (station crew), John R., and Shane.
Wednesday 30th April, Bunning Rd, Gidgegannup
Turned out to assist with a 0.5ha fire on Bunning road, in Gidgegannup. The fire was escalated to 2nd Alarm, with assistance from East and West Swan, East and West Gidgegannup, and Mt Helena brigades.
Attended by: Matt, John R., Michelle, and Warren.
Updates
MR Driving Instructors EOI
As part of the upcoming MR driver training, the training group are seeking expressions of interest from volunteers who can assist with providing driver instruction. Instructors must have held a MR license for over two years, be available for either a morning or afternoon training slot, and be prepared to travel to Forrestfield*.
Training will be run throughout June until August. If you are interested in assisting, please contact Adrian.
*Efforts are being made to secure a truck to allow training in Mundaring.
