Incidents

7th November - Smoke Report

Attended by Andrew H., Andrew M., Andy, Dave R., Paul, and Phil, with John, Tina, and Warren also attending the station. Report was a smoke sighting (visual and smell) near the Pumping Station at Mundaring Wear. Nothing was found, and the crews returned to the station.

Skills Refresher

Time is quickly running out to complete the Skills Refresher; all active fire fighters must have completed the refresher prior to the 1st of December this year to remain operational, as per Mundaring Shire Bushfire Directive 10.1. In order to get everyone through, we are open to requests for alternative training sessions, such as week nights. If there is a time which would suit you, please contact Adrian, John, or Rob.

Adrian, John, and Rob will be contacting everyone who is yet to complete their Skills Refresher to find a time when this can be booked in.

The Skills Refresher has a high level of visibility within the Shire, and is strongly supported by our Chief. Whilst it is a relatively new initiative, it is likely that it will be strongly enforced this fire season. It is therefore incumbent upon all of our members to ensure that they are compliant with this directive.

November Sundowner

5pm onwards Friday, 10th November at the Station. BYO everything. You may wish to only bring a plate of nibbles and drinks, or you may wish to bring some food to BBQ. Friends and family welcome.

Santa Lolly Run

The Santa Lolly Run is in the early stages of planning, and will be discussed further this Saturday during the sched. If you are interested in assisting, please contact Vicki. The run will be organised for a few weeks before Christmas.

Christmas Function

The date for the Christmas Function is set for Friday 29th December. More planning and information to come. Pop it on your calendar.
