+In association with the Shire of Mundaring, Sawyers will be hosting an information session for local residents on conducting winter burning. This session will instruct residents on how to safely and effectively carry out burning on their own properties over winter.
+Interested brigade members are encouraged to participate in the information session. Further sessions will be conducted over coming months at other brigades, allowing members and residents multiple opportunities to be involved.
+Please forward this information on to your friends and neighbours, and encourage them to participate in this valuable program.

+With the recent rain over the past week, the opportunity for hazard reduction burning has increased. Fire behaviour will be less intense, and burns should achieve better results with less mop-up work.
+The Brigade will be starting to ramp up it's hazard reduction burning efforts over the coming weeks. Individual burns will be announced with as much warning as possible, however please be aware that weather conditions on the day may preclude a burn taking place. Burns will be announced through the SawyersValley-Brigade email list.
