Administration
Ride to Conquer Cancer
Gary Rowles, DCBFCO 1, and currently acting Chief and CESM, is involved with a team participating in the 2018 MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer. As part of the wider fund-raising effort, a special Pre-Release screening of the latest Mission: Impossible movie is being held on Monday the 30th of July, at Ace Cinemas in Midland. Tickets are $20, and bookings can be made my contacting Liam Sexton via email or phone: 0415 558 878.
All brigade members are encouraged to support Gary and this worthy cause. Fliers for the team and the movie screening are attached.
Constitution Committee – Expressions of Interest
At the General Meeting on Monday 25/6/2018 it was agreed that the Constitution Committee be reformed to review and progress the Model Rules and By-Laws.
The Brigade Rules and By-Laws are important documents forming the guidelines on how our Association is to be run now and into the future. While the Model Rules cannot be changed, the By-Laws are designed to support the Model Rules and can be changed to reflect the mindset of the membership.
Brigade members who would like to serve on the Constitution Committee and become part of developing these two critical documents are asked to forward their expressions of interest to Michelle by Friday 20/7/2018.
Members who have concerns with any aspects of the Model Rules or By-Laws are encouraged to forward these to Michelle by 20/7/2018 to give the reformed Constitution Committee a basis to work from.
