Called out to fire near Flynn Rd in Sawyers Valley. Fire eventually located near Gorrie Rd. Caused by suspension failure of passing car. Extinguished by passers-by.

Attended by: Ben M., Chad, Dave R., Elton, and Keith.

The next Ops Command meeting will be held on the 20th of February. These meetings bring together all of the brigade Captains, Shire Deputies, and Shire Chief to discuss operation matters.

The latest Mundaring Fire School calendar is attached.

All of the letter-drops have been completed ahead of this Saturday's Recruiting Day at the Station. Hopefully this will have sparked some interest with local residence, and we have a reasonable turn-out.

On the day, volunteers will be needed to talk to potential new recruits, conduct station tours, and generally Shanghai anyone who walks in the door. Even if you are not comfortable with speaking to members of the public we encourage you to some along and demonstrate what a great, friendly, dynamic team our Brigade has.

The Annual Shire Family Event for Emergency Service Volunteers will be held on the 14th of March from 17:00 at the Mundaring Recreation Centre. All Brigade members and their families are invited to this free event. Catering is provided, with free drinks available. The evening will include a tug-of-war between brigades and a bouncy castle for the kids. A number of Life Membership awards will also be presented by the Shire.
