Hazard Reduction Burns
A number of burns are planned for this week, on Thursday and Saturday.
Thursday's burn is being conducted by DFES in Chidlow, starting at 08:00.
Saturday's burn is being organised by Warren in Marshwood Place, starting at 09:30.
Hopefully we can get enough people to complete both of these burns. If you are interested and available, please contact Adrian.
Tank Hill Road Condition
Every year Tank Hill features prominently over the fire season; its high vantage point is often used for locating fires, as well as occasionally the actual location for fires. The current condition of Tank Hill Road would best be described as “poor” compared to previous years. While it is trafficable (even by a non-4WD vehicle), it should not be attempted at any speed. Care should be taken when travelling along Tank Hill Road, even under emergency conditions.

Sawyers Valley Tavern Family Fun Day, 28th November
The Sawyers Valley Tavern is organising a family fun day to be held on Sunday the 28th of November. Our Brigade has been invited to participate with a stall. This will be an excellent opportunity for community engagement and recruitment.
