SEVERE Fire Danger Saturday 9th

The Bureau of Meteorology are forecasting a Severe Fire Danger for Saturday the 9th. Temperatures are predicted to hit 39 °C, with the lead-up over Thursday and Friday also warm.

Whilst this is not unusual for this time of year, it is a good reminder for us to ensure we are prepared for the state of the season. Check your PPC and equipment, ensure your turn-out clothing is in the car or on the shelf at home, and update your availability in BART. Please also take the time to ensure that you're Bushfire Action Plans are in place; either to stay and defend or leave early.

No updates.

Details of the proposed training structure for bushfire fighting have been released. These proposed changes allow for a greater focus on in-brigade training, whilst further developing the structures put in place with the Pathways. Details on the delivery of the new modules are yet to be determined, however it is hoped that they will allow new fire fighter to be trained quicker and more easily without a great reliance on scheduled courses.

The Shire is asking for feedback and proposed changes to the Brigade Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct. These need to be submitted back to the Shire by the 30th of November and 15th of January respectively.

Please take some time to review these important documents and provide your feedback.

The Brigade Operating Procedures, Code of Conduct, and Dispute Resolution Procedure are attached.

Attached is an order form for Brigade clothing i.e. T-shirts, polo shirts, caps, beanies and jackets. Can you please forward completed clothing orders to either Jen or Vicki by Saturday 30/11/2019.

The Shire have again provided a quantity of blue short-sleeved DFES turn out T-shirts as part of your PPC. Shirts are available at the station, please see either Keith or Vicki.
