COVID-19 Precautions Update
With the end of the Bushfire High Threat Period, combined with changes to the Health Department recommendations, the COVID-19 precautions have been reassessed. From today (Wednesday the 13th of April), the following precautions will be observed:
- P2/N95 masks continue to be worn in vehicles and at incidents. The only exception to this is if a higher level of respiratory protection is being worn (e.g. full face mask or half face mask). Surgical style or fabric masks can still be worn in station;
- Continue to wipe down all touch points after use and ensure good hygiene practises are taking place;
- Social distancing - ensure personnel on station comply to the 2sqm rule;
- Maintain maximum of 4 personnel in heavy appliances unless more crew are required for BA operations;
- Anyone who is unwell or has come in contact with anyone with COVID-19 cannot attend station (list of symptoms below); and
- Meeting/AGM cannot exceed maximum number of personnel to comply with the Government mandated 2sqm rule.
The Brigade will now begin returning to normal activities, including Saturday morning scheds and training.
