Nominations Open for 2025 WAFES Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2025 WAFES Awards. Categories include:
- Firefighting Young Person of the Year Award
- DFES Operational Staff Individual Achievement Award
- Murray Lang Bush Fire Service Award
- Firefighting Team Achievment Award
- DFES Staff Team Achievement Award
It would be great to see someone from within the Shire of Mundaring nominated for one or more of these awards this year, so please give some consideration to anyone you from across the Shire who you think is worthy.
Nominations close on Monday the 17th of March, with the awards present at the WAFES Conference Gala Dinner.

Vehicle iPads Purchased Through Bendigo Bank Grant
The Mundaring branch of the Bendigo Bank has made a grant to the brigade to purchase two iPads, with mounting kits. This will be purchased and fitted over the coming weeks, and should be in service this season.
Sawyers Valley Brigade thanks Bendigo Bank for this generous donation.
