Called to assist P&WS with a scrub fire in Malmalling. Helped with blacking out approximately 25 acres. Attended by Andrew H., Andrew M., Andy, Angus, Dave R., John L., Tina, and Warren.

Re-ignition of a burn conducted earlier in the day. Involved a large, dead Jarrah tree which had lit, despite being well cleared around prior to the burn. Attended by Adrian, Dave W., John L., Michelle, and Warren.

The 2017/2018 Season Synopsis has been released by DFES. It contains important information for the coming bushfire season and is suggested reading for all operational members.

Dan H. has been announced as the new Deputy Chief Bush Fire Control Officer, number 4, for the Shire of Mundaring. Dan is also our brigades new liaison deputy, and should see a lot of him around the brigade in the coming months. Please make sure you introduce yourself to him and make him feel welcome. With an extensive career with Mundaring VFRS, Dan brings a great deal of experience to the role and will be an valuable asset within the Shire, and our brigade.

The date for the Santa Lolly Run has been set as the morning of Sunday December the 24th. Packing of the lolly bags will be completed on Saturday the 23rd. Anyone interested in assisting on either of these days should contact Vicki.

The date for the Christmas Function is set for Friday 29th December. More planning and information to come. Pop it on your calendar.
